It's Happenin'

Today we had our SFLA orientation day at the SFLA headquarters in Manassas, VA. No big deal, we just spent the day with Kristan Hawkins, the Executive Director of this amazing organization. We got an overwhelming amount of information, learned about the history of the pro-life movement, history of SFLA, our tasks for the summer, how to live in DC cheaply, etc. It was a lot of fun. I think all of the 7 interns are going to have a good time together. We split up tomorrow, though, for our separate assignments. Leslie, who I share a host family with, and I will be taking the bus and then metro to get to Capitol Hill.

This is where I'll be tomorrow:

Yep. This is really happening!!

Our commute begins at 7:25 a.m.
My plan is to begin making coffee at night, putting it in the fridge, and having it iced in the mornings. I'm going to like coffee by the end of this summer, I'm sure of it.
